It's hard to believe it's been 37 years since the Willows Theatre opened with a production of Camelot. Those 37 years have seen over 200 show openings featuring over 5,000 performers in over 8,000 performances seen by over 1.2 million audience members. Now that is something to celebrate! Our future is bright. With the celebrated return to our Concord Mainstage and a revitalization of our Campbell Theatre, 2012 promises to be a year of great success at the Willows Theatre Company.

Our 2012 season of shows is truly: A Love Story. Each of the nine shows addresses a different aspect of the powerful, sometimes painful, and ultimately joyful, human emotions.

We start the season off in Florence with the 5-time Tony-Award winning production, THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. It's then time to jump on a ship and sail to the recent 2011 Tony-Award winning musical revival, ANYTHING GOES. This is a Cole Porter classic with great music and a lot of tap dancing! Next we are honored to present the Regional Premiere of 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL based on the movie of the same name with music by Dolly Parton. The Willows Theatre Company will be presenting 9 TO 5 as a special fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness. In the summer Artistic Director, Eric Inman, is excited to bring you a classic of American Theatre: A DOLL'S HOUSE by Henric Ibsen. Then we will be remounting the musically review THE ALL NIGHT STRUT featuring a cast of four singing and dancing to the roaring music of the 1930's and 1940's. Then just in time for the holidays we will be bringing the holiday classic MEET ME IN SAINT LOUIS.

At our contemporary Campbell Theatre we are excited to present our Love Story with the Bay Area Premiere of a wonderful musical by Roger Bean, LIFE COULD BE A DREAM. The previously billed production, BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY, had to be pulled from the 2012 Season. Next we will kick off our Original Works Festival with the Bay Area Premiere of VAUDEVILLE, a play with music. This wonderfully crafted play looks back at a time when actors lived out of their suitcase. Then finally we will bring the Sondheim classic, COMPANY as we examine what it means to leave bachelorhood behind and the true power of friendship.
