Mountain Days-The John Muir Musical
debuted in October 2000 at the Chronicle Pavilion in Concord, with Lee
Strawn as John Muir, Marsha Mercant as Louie Strentzel Muir, and Jon
Marshall as Young John Muir.
Intended as a one-time performance to celebrate the "Arts
Millennia," Mountain Days evolved into a recurring summer event and
spawned a series of summer festivals at the John Muir Amphitheater on the
waterfront in Martinez, John Muir's home.
