High School Intern Training Program

Stage Management Internship

Description:
This internship provides a unique opportunity to assist an Actors Equity Association (AEA) stage manager in all aspects of their work.  Beginning with attendance at production meetings, the intern will take part in the entire rehearsal process, including technical rehearsals, and in many instances will work on a production through the completion of the run.  This demanding internship will involve the intern in every facet of the production.  Stage Management interns are often able to participate on the crew of the production as either deck manager or deck crew, and stipends are available for each crew position filled. Members of the Willows Theatre staff serve as mentors to each intern, providing training and background as needed for the tasks at hand.  At the completion of their internship, interns will receive written evaluations and/or recommendations, letters of reference, and a certificate of achievement.
