General Casting Information:
- Audition notices are placed in Theatre Bay Area Magazine, and in local newspapers.
- Auditions are held at either the Campbell Theatre (636 Ward St., Martinez), or The Willows Production Offices (115 Tarntino Dr., Martinez)
- Any and all audition questions should be addressed to the Casting Department at (925) 957-2500
- Rehearsals generally are held 6:30 to 10:30 weekdays and during daytime hours on weekends, times based on conflicts, generally Noon to 5:00 or similar times.
- We usually have one weekday evening off per week, either Thursday or Friday evening.
- If there are children in the rehearsal, whenever possible we try to finish with them earlier rather than later.
- Four to five shows per week, a six-week run, and a total of 30 performances.
- This schedule includes Thursday - Sunday performances.
- When there are children under 18 in the cast, we usually double cast their roles (with some exceptions) so that they only need to commit to 3 - 4 performances per week.
- All non-equity* adult roles are paid a travel stipend, and is meant to defray the cost of travel, NOT pay for all expenses.
- Youth (16 and under) roles are NOT paid a stipend, however they do receive ticket vouchers to the show as well as one free ticket to each main stage production of the Willows Theatre Company for the next year.
- Each cast member is allotted two Complimentary Tickets to be used anytime during the run (except for opening night).
*The Willows Theatre Company is currently not offering AEA contracts at this time, please check back soon.
Theatre Locations:- The 150-seat cabaret-style Campbell Theatre, is located at 636 Ward Street in downtown Martinez. It is approximately a 55-minute drive from San Francisco and less than an hour from Marin County or San Jose. It is approximately 15 minutes from the Willows Theatre in Concord.
- The 1,000-seat John Muir Amphitheater is located in the Martinez Waterfront Park in downtown Martinez. It is approximately 15 minutes from the Willows Theatre in Concord and less than 5 minutes from the Campbell Theatre.
